Here are the (self-imposed) rules of the three day album project. First rule of three day album project is that you do not talk about… just kidding.
Here are our rules:
- Recording can begin the morning of Saturday, August 30, 2008 and must stop the night of Monday, September 1, 2008 (otherwise known as the September long weekend)
- Allowed before the long weekend: songwriting, rehearsing, writing out chord charts, studio set-up, planning, talking, imagining, and listening to Gayleen’s original song demos
- Not allowed before the long weekend: there is to be absolutely no recording of any audio that will be used in the actual songs
- Allowed after the long weekend: sleep, mixing, adding of effects (EQ, reverb, delay, etc.) during the mixing process, mastering, enjoying (hopefully). But no recorded overdubs allowed!
- Whatever material gets recorded during the three day weekend is what we have to work from to create the album.

I have extra rules.
- No spitting
- One base on an overthrow
- If this is your first time at the 3-Day Album recording session, you have to record something
